IFEEO Fellows Emily Bloomenthal, 2009, and Kimberly Liu, 2008

2009 - 10 Awards:

FellowshipEmily Bloomenthal,  a 2009 graduate of New York University School of Law and a 2005 cum laude graduate of Williams College, will be working with the Education Law Center in Newark, New Jersey.  She was a Robert McKay Scholar, in the top 25% of her class after four semesters, and Article Selection Editor of the Review of Law and Social Change. She wrote a law review Note on "Inadequate Discipline:  Challenging Zero Tolerance Policies as Violating State Constitution Education Clauses."

Summer AssociateMatthew Ellinwood, who is entering his third year at the Temple University Beasley School of Law, is working with the Public Interest Law Center of Philadelphia on issues of education funding.  Matthew has an M.Ed in Education Policy from Harvard University and has worked extensively with students in underserved schools in West Philadelphia.
