2009 - 10 Awards: Fellowship: Emily
Bloomenthal, a 2009 graduate of New York University
School of Law and a 2005 cum laude graduate of Williams College, worked with the Education Law Center in Newark, New Jersey.
She was a Robert McKay Scholar, in the top 25% of her class after four semesters, and Article Selection Editor of the Review
of Law and Social Change. She wrote a law review Note on "Inadequate Discipline: Challenging Zero Tolerance Policies
as Violating State Constitution Education Clauses." Summer
Associate: Matthew Ellinwood, who
was beginning his third year at the Temple University Beasley School of Law, worked with the Public Interest Law Center of
Philadelphia on issues of education funding. Matthew has an M.Ed in Education Policy from Harvard University
and has worked extensively with students in underserved schools in West Philadelphia.
